OWNER & SENIOR STYLIST
It has always been Linda's dream to open her own salon to mentor and lead a team of talented stylists. In October 2017 that dream became a reality when she opened what is known as B.U Salon & Spa today. Even with 3 decades of industry experience, she puts education at the forefront of her business ensuring everyone grows and succeeds at B.U Salon & Spa.
She is a dedicated mother of 3 boys and a girl. As a fitness enthusiast she has competed in bodybuilding competitions twice in the past with her most recent in 2017. Today she enjoys Pilates and personal training every morning before she starts her day behind the chair.

SENIOR STYLIST
Megan's passion for the beauty industry began in 2011 during her high school cosmetology program. This lead her to pursue a career focused on making others feel confident and beautiful by helping them discover styles that reflect their individuality. Today she is a Red Seal certified hairstylist with numerous hair extension certifications, including the advanced Babe Hair Extensions Mastery. Consistently invested in her education, she has refined her cutting and coloring skills to stay ahead of trends and deliver top-tier services. While she enjoys a range of services from coloring to blonding,
Megan's true specialty lies in precision cutting, with a particular love for crafting flawless bobs.Outside of the salon she enjoys spending time with family and friends, and also spending time with her two fur babies.

SENIOR STYLIST
Lien’s journey in cosmetology began in 2002 at Joji’s International Hair Academy Vancouver. After moving back to Calgary, she pursued salon ownership for several years before taking a break from the industry. Now at B.U Salon & Spa, she has found the perfect blend of artistic freedom, continuous learning and leadership alongside an amazing team. As one of the founding stylists, she’s had the privilege of contributing to a unique salon culture built on kindness and diversity. She’s most passionate about creating low-maintenance dimensional color and loves doing long layered cuts, bobs and pixies.
Outside of the salon, she’s a proud boy mom and plant enthusiast. Her home is a complete plant oasis.

BROW & PERMANENT MAKEUP ARTIST
Sylvie has been a permanent makeup artist for over 8 years. She has found a passion in making women feel more confident and beautiful while also saving them precious time in the mornings! She loves doing microblading/combo brows and brow laminations because she truly thinks the correct shape of brows enhance a person’s facial features.
Outside of the spa she enjoys snowboarding and spending time with family and friends.

SENIOR STYLIST
Lisa started her path in the beauty industry 23 years ago at Blanche MacDonald in their make-up artistry program. A couple years later she made a quick gut decision to enroll in hair school. Turns out, it was absolutely the right decision for Lisa! After 8 years working in the industry she made the move to Calgary and took a break from being behind the chair. After 4 years away she knew she wanted to return to it. She challenged the Red Seal exams and became certified in Alberta while pregnant with her first child. The following year she joined the team at B.U Salon & Spa and has become an integral part of the culture. She loves doing soft blended highlights, short ladies cuts and is dubbed our round brush blowout QUEEN!
Always creative in nature, she loves just about anything crafty, though most days her craft endeavors are focused around her kids current obsessions. Baking has been a pastime for as long as she can remember - a dangerous combination for someone with a sweet tooth!!
kaitlyn
SENIOR STYLIST
Prior to fulfilling her passion in hairstyling, Kaitlyn earned her Communications degree from the University of Calgary and worked in healthcare. In 2016 she moved to Vancouver where she completed a year long apprenticeship followed by a 6 month program at Aveda's advanced academy. With over 8 years of experience, she's worked backstage at Vancouver and Berlin Fashion Weeks and attended industry events with La Biosthetique in Vancouver, Montreal and Paris.

She has settled back in Calgary to raise her two boys and has quickly become a perfect fit with our team at B.U Salon.
brooklyn
NEW TALENT
Brooklyn joined us as an apprentice in January 2025. She initially started in the beauty industry in esthetics but wanted to expand her career into hair. As a recent graduate of MC College she joins us as a new talent working closely with our senior stylists at B.U Salon as she hones her skills.
viro
JUNIOR STYLIST
As our first male stylist, Viro brings a fresh perspective and strong attention to detail. He specializes in modern day men's cuts and Korean style perms. Dedicated to his craft, Viro works closely with our senior stylists to continue developing his technical skills while delivering personalized looks that suit each client's lifestyle and features.

Outside the salon Viro is a badmintion coach and also enjoys volleyball.
jaden
MEDICAL ESTHETICIAN
Jaden is CIDESCO certified and holds a diploma in Advanced Medical Esthetics with honors. She is a former educator specializing in advanced treatments including microneedling, chemical peels, microdermabrasion and dermaplaning. Her most recent work was in a medical clinic providing long-term skin health treatments and dye eye services. She is most passionate in helping clients feel confident with their skin while supporting long-term skin health through personalized, results driven care.

Outside of work she enjoys family time along with her two animals and growing her plant collection.
